‘THE DOUBLE LINE’ ONE
It all began when the 2nd line started to turn red on the pregnancy stick. My husband and I were trying to get pregnant so I thought I would announce my pregnancy by gifting him a baby onesie with a personal note-  “shit just got real” 🤪but before I could order it, I got pregnant. When I did tell him the good news he had that mischievous grin on his face, may be the thought “yes, I did it” crossed his mind. lol..! And as for me “no periods for over a year” that was a reason to celebrate, haha..!
I loved how my family reacted when we first broke the news- happy and surprised.
Most of my pregnancy was smooth apart from a little hiccup we had in the 10th week when my doctor suggested full bed rest for a month. After that it was all hunky dory. I had imagined that i would crave for belgian dark chocolate ice cream at 1 at night (reference from the movie #SalaamNamaste), my husband would be irritated with the absurd demand but he would give in. Alas! This never happened because I never had any cravings. The idea of a little human growing inside of me kicked in for the 1st time when I felt him moving and when he kicked, it was pure bliss. Eventually in the 3rd trimester it got a little difficult to turn sides on the bed, I was going to the loo every hour as my bladder shrinked into the size of a peanut and the constant feeling of cramped organs inside my body was tiring but there certainly was a detox glow on my face 😬(no alcohol u see).
